Pee-Wee Herman Coming to Broadway
Friday, June 11th, 2010Pee-Wee Herman is coming to the Broadway stage, and he’s bringing his zany comedy with him. The wildly energetic man-child Pee-Wee Herman will be once again played by Paul Reubens. Reubens will reprise his role for a six-week stint on Broadway with previews beginning on October 26. The show is set to begin on November 11 at the Stephen Sondheim Theater in New York City.
Reubens admitted that he can barely believe he will be playing the character for a sustained period of time. He said he’s “been pinching” himself. With all of his excitement, it’s sure to be a great energetic show from Reubens’ end.
Pee-Wee’s beloved Playhouse friends will be joining him too including Cowboy Curtis, Mailman Mike, Jambi the Genie, and more. The show will also be featuring Pterri, the pterodactyl, and much of the show will center around Pee-Wee’s hopes to fly just like Pterri.
This live stage play will be nothing short of bold, unique, extravagant, and fabulous. The show will arrive on Broadway this fall, so don’t miss your chance to see these beloved characters come to life on stage.
