The Orange Bowl is an annual game with two of the best college football teams in the Nation. This year’s Orange Bowl will feature the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, both of which are tough teams in college football. The Orange Bowl will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2010 in Dolphin Stadium, which can hold over 76,000 college football fans.

The Hawkeyes and the Yellow Jackets couldn’t be much more different. Georgia Tech is a quick offensive team, while Iowa is a powerhouse as a physical defensive team. Georgia Tech’s offense is among the most perfected and unique in all of college football. While Iowa’s defensive coordinators is one of the best, and his defense is ranked 10th in the nation, allowing only 15.5 points per game.

Fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes could be faced with not being able to view the game on cable television because of a dispute between Mediacom and Sinclair Broadcasting Group. Because of the fight between the 2 companies, a total of 700,000 Mediacom customers could lose the stations that belong to Sinclair Broadcasting Group.

Fans in 11 of the southern states may lose any Sinclair Broadcasting stations from their Mediacom cable. 400,000 of those viewers live in Iowa. Mediacom subscribers could be left without a way to see not only the Orange Bowl, but also the BCS Championship or the Super Bowl.
