The New York Knicks have incredibly redeemed themselves after a six game losing streak by winning four consecutive games. It is especially important for the Knicks to continue this winning streak in order for them to inch their way closer to taking the sixth seed in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.

On Tuesday, New York blew out the Toronto Raptors 131-118 with a little help from Toney Douglas. Douglas scored 28 points in Tuesday’s game, which is a team high. Douglas’ amazing performance undoubtedly helped lead the Knicks to victory, but other team members deserve credit as well.

Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony must not be forgotten, as both of them added 23 points to the Knicks’ scoreboard. Stoudemire also had five assists, while Carmelo Anthony performed nine rebounds.

However, the fate of Tuesday’s game was practically sealed from the beginning, as New York came out of the gate with a 13-0 lead over the Raptors. That gap only increased throughout the game to a maximum of 29 points. The Raptors were able to lower the gap, but by no more than ten points.

This essential four game winning streak comeback has improved the Knicks’ record to 39-38. They are now only behind the Philadelphia 76ers by 0.5 game, and will have the opportunity to pass them for the No. 6 seed when they meet next.

The New York Knicks will play their next game on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Free agent LeBron James seems to be the one of the most wanted players for both the New Jersey Nets and the New York Knicks. James Dolan, the owner of the Knicks, along with the coach and president attended a recruitment meeting on Thursday with the hopes of signing a contract with James.

James took the opportunity to be home in Ohio with family and friends over the holiday weekend. Hopefully he was able to decide between the six different teams who presented reasons why he should wear their uniform next year.

On Saturday in Ohio the Knicks met with James once again, but the president of basketball operations for the Knicks, Donnie Walsh said that the meeting was only to clear up the cap situation for the next two seasons.

Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are two more players on the minds of both the New Jersey Nets and the New York Knicks. The Knicks also met with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh on Friday following their presentation to James the day before.

The free agents of the NBA will all be making their decisions soon, and the Knicks are waiting to hear what they hope will be good news.

The New York Knicks will play the Boston Celtics at the XL Center in Hartford, CT on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Get your New York Knicks Tickets from Select A Ticket now!

In a three team deal the New York Knicks added Tracy McGrady from the Houston Rockets to their roster. The trade also sent Nate Robinson and Marcus Landry to Boston in exchange for a future second-round pick, and players Eddie House, Bill Walker, and J.R. Giddens.

McGrady is a former NBA All-Star, and he is hoping for a chance to prove that he still is a top player within the NBA. However, he is still recovering from micro-fracture knee surgery, and has only played in six games this season. The Knicks are still undecided about whether or not McGrady will make his Knick’s debut in Saturday’s game.

In the McGrady deal, New York also traded Jared Jeffries which freed up $6.9 million from their payroll for next season. This puts the Knicks in position to possible offer a couple contracts this summer with max salary. Before this deal, they could have afforded one max salary player, but after Thursday’s trade the Knicks were left with roughly $32 million for salary caps.

The New York Knicks were defeated 115-109 by the Chicago Bulls in their last game. They will play their next game at Madison Square Garden against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

The New York Knicks lost 106-88 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Could the reason for the Knicks loss be because of ghosts in their downtown hotel?

The Knicks were convinced that the hotel they were staying in was haunted. Multiple players were having a hard time sleeping because of the supposed ghosts at the Skirvin Hotel. Eddy Curry, center for the Knicks, constantly thought about the ghosts in the hotel and only got two hours of sleep on Sunday night.

The Skirvin Hilton is no stranger to ghost sightings and strange noises. There have been reports for years of these occurrences. In the 1930′s a maid jumped to her death from the 10th floor while holding her baby in her arms, at least that is how the legend goes. Eddy Curry said he was the only player on the 10th floor, and that’s why most of his time was spent in Nate Robinson’s room.

The New York Knicks will play their next game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday, January 15.

The New York Knicks improved their record to 5-15 after a win on Friday night against the Atlanta Hawks. The score was 114-107 when the Knicks balled their way to victory at Philips Arena in Atlanta. This was the Hawk’s second loss in 10 home games.

The Knicks used a combination of drives to the basket and 3-pointers to lead their way to the win. New York had 9 3-pointers in the first half. They made a total of 11 out of 25 3-point attempts throughout the entire game, while the Atlanta only made 4 out of 23. Knicks’ players Al Harrington and Chris Duhon made 4 3-pointers a piece.

All together, guard Chris Duhon made 25 points and 10 assists. Forward Al Harrington scored 23 of the Knicks first 46 points, and had 27 points all together. David Lee added 18 points and 17 rebounds, Larry Hughes added 16 points, and Ton Douglas added 6 points to Duhon and Harrington’s baskets.

The New York Knicks were able to celebrate a 98-91 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Saturday, November 21. However, the victory was overshadowed by a foolish decision made by Nate Robinson, the Knicks’ point guard.

Within the last 0.5 seconds of the first quarter of Saturday’s game. An inbound pass was made to Nate Robinson in the backcourt, and shot at his own basket. The shot went in, but did not count because it was released after time had expired.

According to the NBA rulebook the shot would not have counted regardless if time had expired or not. The rulebook says that if a player shoots at the opposing teams’ basket, no one would receive any points. However, it would result in a turnover.

Knicks’ coach Mike D’Antoni promptly yelled at Robinson between quarters. Also, when meeting with news media after the game, he criticized Nate Robinson’s bazaar decisions.

Nate Robinson only played for 6 minutes of the entire game on Saturday, and lead many people to believe that he was benched because of the shot. D’Antoni denied the speculation, and felt that other players were simply playing better.

The New York Knicks have their next game in Sacramento against the Kings on Wednesday night.

Donnie Walsh, the president of the New York Knicks, confirmed on Monday that the team was thinking about the possibility of signing Allen Iverson to the team. The Knicks were unable to sign a guard in the offseason, and Allen Iverson is not happy with the amount of time he has been playing since leaving the Philadelphia 76ers.

Since the 76ers, the former league MVP has played with the Detroit Pistons and the Memphis Grizzlies. Before receiving an “indefinite leave of absence,” and mutually reaching the decision to no longer be a part of the Grizzlies, Iverson played in just 3 games this season.

Walsh and Knicks’ coach Mike D’Antoni are both impressed with Iverson’s abilities, but they still must decide if it’s worth having him join the team. With 1 win and 9 losses, the Knicks are off to the worst 10-game start in franchise history.

Iverson appeals to the Knicks for a couple of reasons. He is popular with the fans and they would be able to sign him only for this season which would allow them to not use up a future salary-cap space. Iverson would also provide the Knicks with much needed attention, a marquee name, and a definite scorer.
