NJ Nets Make Major Free Agent Pitches
Friday, July 2nd, 2010The New Jersey Nets are looking to gain a couple major free agents this week. This group of free agents is the largest in the history of the NBA. Not only that, but many of the free agents are significant players that any team would be lucky to have.
The free agent period began at midnight on Thursday, and the Nets did not waste any time. The New Jersey Nets have been very ambitious with their free agent pitches, and spent a total of nearly six hours with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh in hopes of signing them to the team.
Although new coach Avery Johnson believes their pitches were on target and that the meetings went well, it’s uncertain whether or not they went well enough for any of them to sign. As if it weren’t hard enough for the Nets to land a big star, they have to compete with offers from other teams. The Bulls, Cavaliers, Heat, and even the Knicks have all made offers to Wade, Bosh, and James.
Now the optimistic Nets only have one thing left to do, and that is wait. According to reports, LeBron James should be making his decision before Monday.
