One surprise at first glance is seeing New York Yankees tickets making the list but with news of Jorge Posada retiring this past week and spring training about to get started, it really isn’t hard to imagine how fans would have baseball on their mind and the season is really not that far off.
Bruce Springsteen’s first tour in two years with the E Street Band has also made the list as tickets for those shows are very popular.
And of course the number one event is Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and New England Patriots, coming up this Sunday but there’s still time to buy tickets.

Last summer the Fullerton Boys and Girls club received a State Farm grant for $50,000 at Angel Stadium. The club won this grant by being paired with the winner of the MLB Home Run Derby. With these funds, along with donations from local and labor contractors, a teen center was renovated and was unveiled in Anaheim, California last month.
The $130,000 renovation of the Fullerton Club teen center is now open for business. According to Fred Johnson, Chief Professional Officer of the Boys and Girls club of Fullerton, admitted that the massive renovation allowed the club to get “the new kitchen, music room, batting cage, cement area where we play basketball.”
He admitted that, ”without that grant we’d still be struggling to make it into a teen center and hopefully it will help us serve a lot more kids.” Johnson expects a 60-70 percent increase in the teen center’s attendance.
The hard work of the center’s renovation is already going to good use. Complete with newly finished basketball courts, the installation of batting cages, a state-of-the-art music room, open space on fresh green grass, and a computer center, there are many happy teenagers in Orange County.
The 2011 Home Run Derby will be held on Monday, July 11 in Phoenix. Arizona at Chase Field. The MLB All Star game will be held the following day at the same location on July 12, 2011.

Last Wednesday it was announced that the Kansas City Royals will host the 2012 All-Star game after many years of waiting. Bud Selig, the commissioner of Major League Baseball announced that Kauffman Stadium will be home to the All Star game that be held on Tuesday July 10, 2012.
In 2006 Kansas City was promised to host an All Star game between 2010-2014, but only if a tax vote was passed in order to pay for stadium renovations. Taxpayers agreed to the $275 million dollar improvements which were completed last year. Selig stuck to his promise, and the Kauffman Stadium is now the host of the 83rd Midsummer Classic.
The 2012 All Star Game will be the Royals’ second, and the city’s third time as hosts. Selig took this into consideration, and as he made the news official through an announcement he said, ”This a special day for the Kansas City Royals organization, the local community and the great baseball fans of Kansas City.”
The 2012 All Star Game isn’t for another two years, but you can still see your favorite MLB players compete against each other in the 2010 MLB All Star game to be held on Tuesday, July 13 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.

The best and brightest stars of Major League Baseball will compete in the 2010 All-Star Game. This annual baseball event creates a rivalry between the National League and the American League. Since 1933 MLB fans have been made responsible for creating the starting line ups for the teams to compete in The All-Star Game, also known as the Midsummer Classic.
There have been a total of 80 All Star games played, and out of those 80 games there have been two ties. The National League is in the lead with the most wins at 40, while the American League is trailing behind them with 38 wins. The total runs that have accumulated throughout these 80 games is 675. With 339 runs the American League has just three more runs than the National League at 336.
In addition to the All-Star Game, you can also experience other Major League Baseball events that are held throughout the week including the Home Run Derby and All-Star Fanfest. The 2010 MLB All-Star Game will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.
