Bruce Springsteen may have been the one to host the final shows at the old Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but it will be Bon Jovi who will open the new $1.6 billion stadium.
The new Meadowlands Stadium will be a great destination for summer concerts in northern New Jersey. Since the members of Bon Jovi are Jersey Boys themselves, they will definitely be opening it with some style. Bon Jovi will be opening the new Meadowlands Stadium with three concerts to be held on May 26, 27, and 28, 2010.
These three shows at the new Meadowlands Stadium will be a part of Bon Jovi’s World Tour “Circle Tour.” New Jersey will be a three day pit stop in this 30 country, 135-show tour that will stretch into next year.
The amazing opening acts will also bring some style to New Jersey’s new outdoor arena. Train will be opening on Wednesday, May 26, Gavin DeGraw will be opening on Thursday, May 27, and OneRepublic will be opening on May 29.

A week ago it was announced that Dashboard Confessional will be joining Bon Jovi’s US tour. In late winter into early spring they will perform a few headlining club shows, and also a series of opening acts for the iconic band.
Alternative rock band, Dashboard Confessional will join Bon Jovi’s “The Circle Tour” on February 18 where they will be headlining a club show in Portland, Oregon. Starting February 19 the tour kicks off its North American leg in Seattle, Washington where Dashboard Confessional will perform a series of opening acts for the rock band, Bon Jovi.
The New Jersey Rockers, Bon Jovi announced that their May 26 and 27 shows will be the first events at the new 1.6 billion stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey which will be home to the Giants and Jets.“The Circle Tour” is in support of Bon Jovi’s new album, Circle, which hit stores late last year. The Circle is an album which returned Bon Jovi to a more hard rock sounds after their last album took a turn that was more towards country music.

On October 22 at the Meadowlands Entertainment Complex, the enduring rock band announced a two year world tour called “The Circle World Tour.” Bon Jovi announced that their April 26 and 27 shows will not only be wrapping up their tour, but they will also be the first events at the new stadium which will be home to the Giants and Jets.
The tour will kick off in North America on February 19 in Seattle, Washington. The tour plans to visit 30 countries and perform 135 shows before it wraps up in 2011.
“The Circle World Tour” will be in support of Bon Jovi’s new album, Circle, which will hit stores on November 10. The Circle is promised to return to a more hard rock sounds after their last album took a turn that was more towards country music.
