It’s no surprise that for the past two weeks Big East Tournament Tickets were the hottest selling tickets on our top 5 events list. Let’s face it, the conference is loaded with great teams, which will make for an exciting Tournament.
Since entering the New Year, the conference has become serious. Seven schools from the Big East have emerged in this week’s AP Top 25 rankings. Four Big East Schools including Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Villanova have made it in the top 8. Connecticut, Georgetown, Notre Dame, and Cincinnati are the other Big East schools who have made their way onto this week’s Top 25 list.
It seems as though No. 4 Syracuse have been the best team in the league. The orange show continuous improvement from week to week. Syracuse’s 70-58 victory over No. 14 Notre Dame this weekend showed how well they can takeover a game. The Orange only led 34-33 at the half, but took advantage of their 3-point shooting game to earn them the victory.
The Big Ten’s lousy 0-5 performance in 2011 Bowl Games has shifted the world’s college sports attention from basketball to football. The Tournament is rapidly approaching, and should be something impressive to see.
The Big East Tournament will be held on Tuesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 12, 2011 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
