Fan voting for the 2010 MLB All-Star Game has begun. This year Andre Ethier is looking to be selected to play in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. Lucky for him, he is among the leading National League outfielders in the voting for the 81st All-Star Game.
Ethier currently has over 606,000 votes, which puts him in third place among the other National League outfield candidates. He is closely following Jayson Werth of the Philadelphia Phillies who is in second place, but is quite far behind Milwaukee’s Ryan Braun in first place. He leads fourth place Phillies teammate Shane Victorino, and fifth place rookie Jason Heyward.
The National and American League teams that will compete in the 2010 MLB All-Star game will be announced on Sunday, July 4th. The National League Team will have eight starters selected by the fans, and the American League will have nine selected from the balloting program. The best stars of Major League Baseball will soon compete in the 2010 All-Star Game. This annual baseball event that creates a rivalry between the National League and the American League is rapidly approaching, and Anaheim is already preparing the week’s festivities.
The sixth annual red carpet parade on Tuesday, July 13 for the 2010 All-Star Game will be featuring the complete Disney Gang including favorites such as Mickey, Cinderella, Minnie, Pluto, and more! Along with the Disney favorites, fans of the MLB will also be able to see their favorite All-Star players parade in Anaheim at 2:30 pm.
After the parade, the 2010 MLB All-Star Game will be held later that night at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. In addition to the All-Star Game and parade, you can also experience other Major League Baseball events that are held throughout the week including the Home Run Derby and All-Star Fanfest.
Don’t miss your chance to see the most elite players of the MLB compete against each other in a battle of American League vs. National League, and also your favorite Disney characters parade alongside of them.

Major League Baseball along with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the city of Anaheim are beginning an innovative project that will benefit the youth of Anaheim. This is a part of the charity and reconstruction theme called “Going Beyond,” which was established for the 2010 MLB All-Star Summer in Anaheim, CA.
Managed by the Angels Baseball Foundation and the Magical Builders, the project entails reconstruction of youth softball and baseball fields. This existing field at Pioneer Park will be renamed “All-Star Field #1″ and is to be used by many programs, including Little League.
In addition, a new Miracle League Field will be built to offer many opportunities for children with special needs to play baseball. This new field at Pioneer Park will be called “All-Star Field #2″ which is going to be designed for use by special needs groups. This field will include many custom designs such as wheelchair accessible dugouts and a completely flat surface which will be cushioned and rubberized minimize injuries.
The Scotts Company, officially named Lawn Care Company of Major League Baseball and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will be supporting the renovations of the youth fields, as well as the brand new Miracle League Field.
The 2010 MLB All-Star Game will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Angel Stadium.
