Earlier this month, Adidas (the NBA’s official on-court apparel supplier) unveiled uniform and apparel designs for the upcoming 2015 NBA All-Star Game. The uniforms pay homage to the game’s host city — New York City.

David Cho, who oversees the NBA partnership with Adidas said, “It’s simple and timeless. It’s a nod to the history, culture and style of New York City basketball.”The uniforms are relatively plain and have many changes from those of previous years.

Since the 1960s, the NBA has had the conference identifiers “East” and “West” on its All-Star Game jerseys, but that distinction is missing from the uniforms this year. Instead, players from the Western Conference will wear black, while those from the Eastern Conference will wear white. Accessories like headbands, arm bands and more will use the traditional color scheme: red for the West and blue for the East.

Additionally, for the first time ever, the uniforms will include the first and last name of the player on the back of the jersey. The first name will be above the number and the last name will be below it.

What do you think of the 2015 NBA All-Star Game uniforms?

The 2015 NBA All-Star Game will be held on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden. Stop by today for you NBA All-Star Game tickets!
