Just one week after releasing her fifth album, 1989, seven-time GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift announced dates for her “1989” world tour, which will kick off in Bossier City, Louisiana on May 20, 2015. Swift will trek to five countries before ending with a Halloween show in Tampa, Florida.

According to Mashable, ‘1989’ earned the biggest sales week of any album in 12 years. Swift fans bought 1.287 million copies from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2, making this the first and only album released in 2014 to earn platinum status (for selling one million copies). This week’s Billboard 200 was topped off by ‘1989,’ and dating back to 1991, is only the 19th album to sell one million copies in a week. Of those 19, Swift owns three of them: ‘1989,’ ‘Red,’ and ‘Speak Now.’ Impressive, Taylor!

Folk singer and Australian Vance Joy,  best known for his single “Riptide” (which Swift recently covered), will join her for the ride. Shawn Mendes will also join the tour for select performances, including her performance in Philadelphia.

Swift will be performing live at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia for the 1989 Tour on June 13, 2015.

Have you been dying to see Taylor perform “Shake it Off” or “You Belong With Me” in person? Well now is your chance! Taylor Swift tickets are available on SelectATicket.com now.

WrestlingWWE’s Wrestlemania XXXI once again is the top event of the week at SelectATicket.com.

Take a look at the weekly list of SelectATicket.com’s Top 5 events:

  1. Wrestlemania XXXI
  2. NCAA Frozen Four
  3. Radio City Christmas Spectacular
  4. Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga
  5. Disney On Ice: Frozen

Wrestlemania has been a hot seller since it was first announced it is heading to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara this coming March.

A new entry to the list, the NCAA Frozen Four makes a strong appearance in the number 2 slot. Being held in the hockey hotbed of Boston should help drive more ticket sales this year than most, especially with several North East hockey teams ranked in the top 10 in the country, including Boston College, Boston University, Massachusetts-Lowell, Colgate and Union.

As we head deeper into November and the holidays draw closer, expect to see our third and fifth place events continue to make the list — Radio City Christmas Spectacular and Disney On Ice: Frozen are sure to make some more appearances before 2014 is through!

Also making the top 5 is the unique touring duo of Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga. A pair that you might not have guessed would work so well together, but they sure do! With their collaborative album “Cheek to Cheek” performing very well, it comes as little surprise that their live performances are selling out quickly. This is truly a rare event that seems unlikely to occur again so fans are taking advantage of this chance to see these two live in concert.

Please check back next week to see what events make our top 5 list!
