The New York Giants came storming out of the bye week with a convincing 38-10 victory over the visiting Green Bay Packers.

The Giants got off to a fast start and never looked back. Eli Manning became the all-time leader among NY Giants quarterbacks in terms of touchdown passes. A nice feather in his cap to go along with two Super Bowl MVP trophies, Manning is proving his detractors wrong week in and week out and now has to be considered among the elite quarterbacks in the league.

The win enabled the Giants to maintain a lead over Dallas and Washington in their division.

With a current record of 7-4 compared to Washington and Dallas who are both sitting at 5-6, the Giants have a huge game this coming Monday night when they travel to Washington to battle the Redskins.

A win on Monday night would give a Giants a strong lead over Washington and allow them to focus on beating out Dallas for the divisional title.

A loss and the Giants are in a slugfest with two other teams that will likely go right down to the wire in the closing weeks of the regular season.

With games remaining against New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore and Philadelphia, the Giants face yet another game Monday night that can be considered a must-win. It would put the Redskins virtually too far back with too little time left.

Only two home games remain for the Giants, tickets remain available for both the game against New Orleans and the season closer against rival Philadelphia.

The Broadway production of Elf was featured during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade yesterday. Millions of viewers tuned in to see the cast performing a number from the musical, entering its second year on Broadway.

Elf can be seen at the Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City. It started November 9, 2012 and runs through January 6, 2013. Elf tickets are available now for most performances but after yesterday’s exposure, Elf is lined up to become one of the hotter shows of the season.

Elf is a family friendly show but children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theater.

For those who have not seen the movie Elf is based upon, if you enjoy Broadway musicals with catchy songs, a ton of great jokes and energetic dancing, you don’t need to know the film, you will love Elf as the Broadway show stands on it’s own.

Treat the family to a great holiday show, see Elf on Broadway this season before it is too late.

The New England Patriots travel to New Jersey to face the NY Jets tomorrow night in a rare Thanksgiving night game at MetLife Stadium.

For the Jets this game is pretty much do or die as their season will be difficult to salvage if they lose this game. For the Patriots it is the chance to push a divisional rival further behind them in the standings.

With all this on the line and holiday spirit in the air — it is going to be one wild night at MetLife Stadium. Tickets remain available as of this writing.

Can the Jets save their season? A victory tomorrow night would go a long way in re-establishing everyone’s confidence and with a strong home crowd behind them against a bitter rival, Gang Green just might pull it off and go on a tear towards the NFL playoffs where anything can happen.

The New York Jets put an end to their three game slide with a 27-13 victory over the Rams in St. Louis yesterday.

The Rams are in a slump of their own, having gone 0-4-1 in the last 5 weeks.

With a record of 4-6 the Jets are tied with Miami and Buffalo behind the 7-3 New England Patriots in the AFC East.

It just so happens the Jets face the Patriots on Thursday in a Thanksgiving night game.

The 8:20pm start at MetLife Stadium Thursday allows for the Jets fans to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner before feasting on some football.

Despite a rough go so far, the Jets have a chance to turn their season around and it started with yesterday’s win. If they can add another quick victory on Thursday, they’ll be gaining momentum as the season heads towards the playoffs.

Their games against the Patriots are always exciting and there are still Jets tickets available for fans who want to cheer them on during a rare Thanksgiving home game.

The Rolling Stones have added a fifth show to their 50th Anniversary celebration, announcing yesterday that they will be performing at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on December 8th.

With 2 shows set for London later this month and 2 shows in Newark, NJ in December, fans were wondering when or if other dates might pop up.

Early on it was rumored that the Barclays Center would be the only U.S. shows, that’s why there was a surprise when it was announced that Newark would host them and (at that time at least) not Brooklyn.

Either way, fans are excited at the chance to see these ageless rockers take the stage. From the fans who have been around since the 60’s to the high school kids who are just getting interested in them, The Rolling Stones have so much great music to share that there is something for almost everyone.

Tickets to the Stones concerts are as hot as it gets. With only a handful of concerts scheduled and an almost endless number of Stones fans in the world, these shows are some of the most wanted tickets around.

The Barclays Center show goes on sale in a few days but tickets to the O2 Arena and Prudential Center are already available online. Head over to and find your Rolling Stones tickets today.

Wrestlemania is really taking over as tickets are moving at a rapid pace. Fans are anxious to see this event at MetLife Stadium and with the holidays coming, they make a great gift idea for the WWE fan in your life.

Speaking of holidays, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Radio City Christmas Spectacular have made the list as people are looking to attend these annual shows which entertain the whole family.

Check back next week to see what events make the top 5 for this week.

Suffering a difficult loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the New York Giants travel to Cincinnati this week to take on the Bengals.

A four point favorite, the visiting New York Giants are expected to right the ship and get back to winning football games.

Any Giants fan knows that there is a stigma associated with this team of them getting off to great starts only to stumble over the final half of the season.

A victory in Cincinnati will quiet those critics but a loss would just add fuel to that smoldering fire… nobody wants to mention it but everyone knows it is on some peoples’ minds already!

The New York Giants do not have an easy schedule from this point forward so they need to get the wins they are expected to get and a few they are not.

Following the Bengals, the Giants face Green Bay, Washington, New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore and Philadelphia. No pushovers for the Giants in that group at all!

With so many great opponents coming up, now is a great time for fans to get tickets to Giants games and enjoy Big Blue as they defend their Super Bowl Champion status.

The country comes to the city in January 2013 when the Pro Bull Riders come to town for three days of exciting action at Madison Square Garden.

PBR takes over MSG January 4, 5 & 6 and tickets to all three dates are available at right now.

Casual observers may think New York City is a strange place for the Pro Bull Riders to perform but when you think about it, it makes a lot of sense.

Being a major city, home to countless major corporations, there are Americans from all over the country who have moved to New York for their jobs — many of them from more traditional PBR markets such as the Midwest and the South.

Not to mention, it is just an awesome event! You don’t have to be from any particular region to appreciate the abilities of these riders and enjoy the show.

So if you are a returning fan or new to the sport, you might want to pick up a few PBR tickets and find out what all the excitement is about. These shows sold out last year when they came to town, so act fast before it is too late.

The 2013 NBA All Star Game and related festivities will be held in Houston, Texas from February 15-17.

The three main events are:

  • February 15 – Rising Star Challenge
  • February 16 – All Star Saturday Night
  • February 17 – NBA All Star Game

The NBA All Star Weekend is the biggest weekend in pro basketball as there is something for everyone to enjoy. From the young stars to the skills competition on Saturday night to the big game with the brighest stars, attending the NBA All Star Weekend is a basketball fan’s dream come true.

Finding tickets however is not always so easy. There are websites that may have attractive prices up front but then during the purchasing process you find they tack on up to an extra 20% in “fees”, or other sites where you are buying from a faceless person, a presumed fellow fan but it really could be anybody out to make a quick buck. The league rarely makes enough tickets available via public on sale, if any, because they provide several to their front office staff as well as every team throughout the league.

The best option for NBA All Star tickets is to go to the secondary market. You know you are buying from a company, you can research their history and you do not always get hit with hidden fees if you do your research.

The New York Giants currently stand atop the NFC East with a record of 6-2. That record will be challenged this Sunday when the 4-3 Pittsburgh Steelers come to MetLife Stadium.

With Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington all under .500 right now, the Giants can really do themselves a favor by securing a win this Sunday and further distancing themselves from the three division rivals.

The Steelers meanwhile are chasing the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC Central and cannot afford to take a loss. All this adds up to what should be a very good game and coming in just after Hurricane Sandy, will hopefully provide area fans with some entertainment and a well-deserved break from dealing with the storm’s destruction.

Pittsburgh’s got their work cut out for them though as they go up against the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. The Giants are 3-1 at home this season while the Steelers are only 1-3 on the road. Both teams have a quarterback who can lead a team down field in a hurry so even if this is a close game, it is going to come down to the final play just like last week’s thrilling Giants vs Cowboys game.

Giants tickets and parking passes remain available for this game and all other home games this season.
