There are at least three exciting WWE events coming to New Jersey in the next several months and there’s talk of even more to come!

The first visit will be WWE Raw’s World Tour coming to Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ. Easily accessible from Route 195, the Sun National Bank Center is a great minor league sized arena in the state’s capitol. This event is coming up quickly, it will be held Friday October 19th. The Sun National Bank Center seats about 8,000-10,000 fans for wrestling so it is a great chance to get closer to the action as even the cheapest seats in the building will be relatively close.

The second event will be at a larger arena and therefore have a more vibrant atmosphere as the crowd size will be doubled. WWE Raw comes to the IZOD Center in the Meadowlands on October 22nd, where the crowd will be in excess of 18,000 strong. Be there for a wild night of WWE action.

Then on December 10th, WWE Raw comes to Newark’s Prudential Center, where another crowd of 18,000+ is expected to be on hand. There are so many great wrestling events coming up it is hard to believe it can get better than this.

But it does!

As if that wasn’t enough, how about a convergence of 70,000 wrestling fans from all over the world? That’s right, in April 2013 Wrestlemania XXIX comes to the MetLife Stadium and will be one of the most insane events to come to that building yet. All local WWE fans will want to be on hand to witness history in the making as MetLife Stadium hosts Wrestlemania XXIX on April 7, 2013.

Fans can order Wrestlemania and WWE Raw tickets today through where there are no added fees at checkout.

In the early days of yet another NHL lockout, there are some small glimmers of hope as it has been learned today that the NHL owners and the NHLPA have agreed to resume talks on Friday.

If you recall the 2004 lockout, the sides went 8 months without talking so the fact that this is happening only 2 weeks after the lockout officially began must mean there are at least items to be discussed. Otherwise, they wouldn’t set up a meeting.

The NHL and the NHLPA may not be aware of just how fed up the hockey fans are. They are a rare and passionate breed of fans but they are also very proud and to be locked out by their sport twice in 7 years is a bit much.

The fans take it personally. Several of them struggle to make ends meet, meanwhile billionaire owners and millionaire players are fighting over a few percentage points in revenue sharing. Meanwhile the average fan can only afford to bring his family to maybe one game per season as they’ve been slowly priced out in most markets. It is insulting and the threat of losing their favorite form of entertainment for another full season has many fans ready to give up hockey for good. Several fans already turned their backs on the sport in 2004, there is no way the NHL could do that again and not lose considerably more fans.

The greed has to stop somewhere and hopefully it begins this Friday but that remains to be seen. Should the lockout carry on too long there is fear that fans will miss out on the most anticipated NHL Winter Classic yet, this one in Ann Arbor between the Red Wings and Maple Leafs. So much good will and love for the sport comes out at the Winter Classic, it would be a crime to lose it and disappoint tens of thousands of fans. All due to greed.

The fans need the sport but does the sport realize just how much they need the fans? Without them there would be no millions of dollars for them to bicker over. Let’s hope they settle things quickly.

The weekly top 5 report is ready and here is the list:

  1. 2013 Wrestlemania Tickets
  2. New York Yankees
  3. Lady Gaga tickets
  4. Bruce Springsteen
  5. Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets

No surprise seeing Bruce Springsteen make the list as he played three shows at MetLife Stadium last week including a wild show Saturday night that stretched into the early hours of Sunday due to a rain delay. The Boss celebrated his 63rd birthday that night and his die-hard fans withstood the weather and celebrated with him once the show finally was able to begin.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is a show to watch out for on this list for the coming weeks. It is expected to be a big mover and shaker this year as the 2012 tour consists of new material as well as the old standards that everyone is used to from TSO. If you get a chance, check them out, there’s not many shows like this one anywhere else.

Check back next week to see what events reach the top 5 and if any of these events can maintain their current rankings.

Coming off a thrilling victory at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, the New York Giants got right back at it and continued their winning ways with a powerful 36-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers. The Giants are now 2-1 following an opening night loss to the Cowboys.

Aided by scores on each of their first four drives, the Giants got out to a quick lead and never looked back.

Some of the statistical highlights from the game:

Eli Manning was 27-35 in passing for 288 yards and 1 Touchdown before sitting out the final few minutes of the fourth quarter to rest up and get backup quarterback David Carr some game action.

Filling in admirably for Ahmad Bradshaw, Andre Brown had a tremendous performance as he had 20 carries for 113 yards, his first 100 yard game of his young career. On top of that he tacked on 2 touchdowns. A great all-around performance by the young running back.

Ramses Barden found himself open quite a bit and as a result, found himself getting the ball quite a bit, too. He caught 9 passes for 138 yards to lead the receivers.

The glaring difference in the game — Carolina turned the ball over a whopping 5 times while the Giants did not cough it up once.

The Giants picked off 3 Cam Newton passes, bringing his total to 5 interceptions thrown thus far this season. An alarming amount this early which Carolina fans surely can’t be pleased with but there’s plenty of time and Newton’s got plenty of skill to turn his game around as early as Week 4.

The Giants meanwhile now have a relatively long break until their Week 4 game in Philadelphia. That game will be held Sunday night September 30th with an 8:20pm kickoff. The layoff might give some of the banged up Giants time to heal before their matchup with the division leading Eagles. Philadelphia visits Arizona this Sunday in a matchup of undefeated teams. Whichever way that game turns out, the September 30th Giants vs Eagles tickets are already shaping up to be a hot item so order yours today!

Week 3 of the NFL season is kicking off with the 1-1 New York Giants visiting the 1-1 Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers boast multi-talented quarterback Cam Newton who can throw, run and do just about anything else asked of him here in his second pro season.

The Giants meanwhile have two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Eli Manning, who is coming off his highest passing yard total for a single game after piling up 510 yards vs Tampa Bay.

The Giants have the edge in passing yards and defense but Carolina’s running game is performing much better than New York. In fact, New York’s running game has been floundering for a few years now and on top of that, starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw is injured. Expect Andre Brown to step up but another “pass heavy” performance by Manning is certainly not out of the question and with star receivers Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, there might be some more records set tomorrow night by Big Blue’s air attack.

This has been a bit of a strange start to the season with their opener on a Wednesday, game 2 on a Sunday but now game 3 on a Thursday. Three games in 15 days is not very common in the NFL but the Giants can’t get caught up in that, they need to execute and come out of Carolina with a victory. Especially with the Eagles undefeated thus far and a matchup with them looming in Week 4. Should the Giants win this week and Philadelphia hold serve, then Week 4’s game in Philly could be a battle for a share of first place.

To recap, the Giants travel to Philadelphia next week to meet the division rival Eagles and finally return home to MetLife Stadium to face the Cleveland Browns on October 7.

You can purchase New York Giants tickets for all their games, at home or on the road, at

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s successful “Wrecking Ball” tour comes to MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands with three shows this week:

A limited quantity of tickets are still available for purchase so it is recommended to act now to get the best seat locations and make sure you don’t miss this great show.

Bruce has always been known as a true entertainer and this tour has been no different. They’ve played some of their longest shows ever on this tour and the band just doesn’t stop. A recent show in Philadelphia consisted of one fan favorite tune after another as the setlist included such numbers as:

  • Out in the Streets
  • Sherry Darling
  • Hungry Heart
  • Cadillac Ranch
  • Lost in the Flood
  • I’m On Fire
  • Candy’s Room
  • Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out
  • Spirit in the Night
  • Jersey Girl
  • Thunder Road
  • Rosalita
  • Born to Run

…and that isn’t even the full setlist, just some of the highlights!

As you can see, Bruce and the band are not messing around on this tour and it is as good a time as ever to see them in concert. Head over to MetLife Stadium and see them play their first shows at the Meadowlands since closing Giants Stadium in 2009.

There are not many bands around that are as tight as this one, play as long as this one or play as many memorable classics as this one so if you are a fan, now is the time to order Bruce Springsteen tickets and catch this show before the tour concludes.

There are some new additions to the list this week but it is topped by an old standard – the NBA All Star Game. Interest in the game is picking up now as the season is approaching.

NFL Football tickets across the board have been strong performers as Week 2 is now complete, save for the Monday night game.

Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo is taking the stage on a tour which will see her visit NYCB Theatre in Westbury and the Tropicana in Atlantic City as well as several other cities across the country.

NCAA basketball returns to the IZOD Center with a double header on December 8, highlighted by the Duke vs Temple game.

Finally the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is touring and performing an all-new set from their newest album as well as their unique interpretation of old holiday standards. It is certain to be one of the top tours of the winter this year.

  1. 2013 NBA All Star Game Tickets
  2. NFL Football
  3. Theresa Caputo Tickets
  4. Duke vs Temple Tickets
  5. Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Check back next week to find out what will make the top 5 for this week!

The New York Yankees enter this weekend tied for first place in the American League East with the Baltimore Orioles.

The Tampa Bay Rays are four games behind both clubs and guess who’s coming to the stadium this weekend? That’s right, brace yourself for three games of the Yankees vs the Rays!

This series is pivotal for New York as they can both close the gap or hold serve with Baltimore as well as distance themselves from Tampa Bay by winning 2 or 3 games.

Baltimore is starting a 6 game west coast road trip tonight with 3 games vs. the A’s and then 3 more in Seattle before visiting the Red Sox for three games next weekend.

The Yankees are starting a 9 game homestand with this series vs the Rays followed by three games each against Toronto followed by Oakland next weekend.

Yankees tickets remain available for all home games as they look to solidify their positioning in the AL East. The season is winding down and the playoffs are right around the corner, these games in September have a lot riding on them and are going to be hard fought to say the least!

The Duke Blue Devils make a rare NCAA basketball appearance at the Meadowlands when they travel north to take on the Temple Owls at the IZOD Center on Saturday December 8, 2012.

Tickets for Duke vs Temple are available now at

Duke last appeared at the Izod Center back in 2010 when they defeated Butler. Prior to that, their last visit was 2008 against Xavier.

While having not nearly the reputation Duke boasts, Temple is certainly no slouch in the world of college basketball.

The Temple Owls are one of only 13 colleges across the nation to have reached the NCAA Tournament in each of the past five seasons. They take their basketball seriously in Philadelphia and Temple will be traveling north on the NJ Turnpike on 12/8 to prove just that against Duke. This game is going to be a good one as Temple has won nearly 80 games over the past three seasons. This is a matchup of two powerhouses.

Tickets are on sale now from courtside to the upper levels so head over to Select-A-Ticket and choose your Duke vs Temple tickets today.

This will be part of an NCAA double header on December 8th as earlier in the day St. Peter’s will be facing Loyola.

Lamented all through the preseason for a lack of offense, it appears the New York Jets really were saving it all for when the games count as quarterback Mark Sanchez was quoted as saying. In a rousing home opener at MetLife Stadium, the New York Jets trounced their divisional opponent Buffalo Bills by a score of 48-28.

Storming out to an early 21-0 lead, the Jets never looked back and Buffalo picked up a few scores in garbage time so the game wasn’t even as close as the 20 point final margin indicates.

Without wasting time or leaving fans guessing what their potential two-headed monster quarterback situation may look like with Sanchez and Tim Tebow taking the snaps, right away in the first quarter offensive coordinator Tony Sparano kept the Bills guessing by mixing up the lineup. Sanchez would run a few plays, Tebow would come in, then Sanchez again. The shifty Jets hit the Bills with so many different looks that their heads were spinning.

The fans were able to voice their opinion of who they prefer to be the full time quarterback when Sanchez was in a groove leading the team down the field only to give way to Tebow who had a momentum killing no gain/marginal yardage loss on a keeper play. The Jets escaped with a field goal from that series but the fans booed when Sanchez left the field in favor of Tebow — they wanted to keep a good thing going and stick with the hot hand. However in the big picture, having this double threat and mixing things up in a variety of different situations can only help the Jets down the road this season. Future opponents certainly will be scouting and will have to be prepared for almost anything at anytime – this is a great position for the Jets to be in as long as the two quarterbacks continue to get along and continue to get results.

Their next home game is September 30th vs the San Francisco 49ers. It isn’t often that the Niners visit the Jets so head on over to and order tickets, MetLife Stadium parking passes or both and enjoy this new look Jets offense!

Today at 1pm Eastern, the New York Jets take the MetLife Stadium field looking to start the season on a winning note against fellow AFC East foes, the Buffalo Bills.

The Jets defeated Buffalo in both meetings last season including a 28-24 victory at MetLife Stadium on November 27, 2011.

This season is a big one for the Jets. Fans and presumably management are growing tired of Head Coach Rex Ryan’s big talk. It is time for the man who proclaims himself a “great coach” to produce a solid year after last season’s disappointing record of 8-8 failed to get them to the playoffs. Expectations were high following two years of reaching the conference championship game in the playoffs but the NFL is a “what have you done for me lately” league and Ryan knows he and the Jets need to win this year or there will be changes, possibly starting with him.

There is room for optimism though as fans can look at the big picture and realize Ryan has given this team a chance to go far in past seasons, quarterback Mark Sanchez is maturing and should he falter, backup QB Tim Tebow is an interesting option and multi-faceted threat out of the backfield. It offers the Jets flexibility and the chance to confuse defenses with a variety of different looks. Whether that turns into points on the board for Gang Green remains to be seen.

The weather is perfect for football in New Jersey today, with temperatures expected to reach the mid 70s and the humidity according to will only approach 50%.
