Earlier this month, superstar Beyonce gave New York concert goers a reason to get excited. She announced a mini tour entitled “4 Intimate Nights With Beyonce” consisting of four performances at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom.

The tour is in support of the singer’s fourth studio album, 4, which debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. Not only does the title of the tour mimic the album title, but it also suggests that this Columbia Records diva will give an intimate performance to small audiences.

During this mini concert series B will perform her latest album in its entirety. Although the set list only consists of all 12 songs from 4, it isn’t out of the question for an encore of “Halo” or “Crazy In Love.”

Although none were announced, it isn’t completely out of the question for there to be any guest appearances. The album features an amazing verse from Outkast member Andre 3000, and numerous snippets from the album’s producer, Kanye West.

The alpha female will be performing at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City on August 14, 16, 18, and 19. Tickets to see B at Roseland are expected to be difficult to get a hold of, but Select-A-Ticket has all your ticketing needs. Get your Beyonce Tickets from Select-A-Ticket now!

One of history’s most notorious con artists has taken over the Broadway stage.

The new Broadway show, Catch Me If You Can is an entertaining musical comedy based on the 2002 blockbuster movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. Like the hit DreamWorks film the Broadway version also tells the intriguing tale of Frank Abagnale Jr., who became one of the the most successful con men in America at just 16 years old.

This astounding true story is brought to life on stage with a little help from rising Broadway star Aaron Tveit (Wicked, Next to Normal) and his portrayal of Frank. Tveit has taken on the challenging role of being undeniably charming, confident, and imaginative while successfully posing as a doctor, airline pilot, and even a lawyer.

Joining Tveit on stage is the rest of the amazing cast, which includes Tony Award nominee, Kerry Butler (Hairspray, Xanadu) who plays Frank’s love interest. Additionally, Broadway favorite Norbert Leo Butz plays Carl Hanratty, the FBI agent who will not quit until Frank is caught.

The creative team behind this musical, along with the fabulous cast prove that they have the perfect recipe of contributors. Director Jack O’Brien seamlessly ties together all aspects of creativity, including the exceptional book by Terrance McNally, which is complemented by the work of Jerry Mitchell the choreographer, and costumes by William Ivey Long.

Catch Me If You Can has scheduled performances Tuesday through Sunday at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York City. This amazing musical comedy has acquired numerous rave reviews, so don’t miss your chance to see why!

Six months after placing a franchise tag on linebacker David Harris, preventing him from becoming a free agent, the Jets signed a multiyear contract extension with him on Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed by the Jets. The Associated Press reported the four-year agreement to be worth $36 million, with $29.6 million guaranteed, a record for an inside linebacker.

“Last year they pretty much gave me their word that we’d be a priority this upcoming year,” Harris said. “They followed up on their word… I was patient. I knew that (GM) Mike (Tannenbaum) would come through on his promise.”

In 59 NFL games Harris has 428 tackles and in three of his four seasons with the Jets he has led the team in tackles. Harris was also the Jets’ Most Valuable Player last season.

Earlier in the week, the Jets re-signed cornerback Antonio Cromartie to a four-year contract that ESPN reported to be worth $32 million. The Jets also signed former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress to a one-year, $3.017 million contract. Burress has been out of the NFL for the past two seasons after serving 20 months in prison for gun charges. Burress has 505 catches for 7,845 yards and 55 touchdowns in his NFL career with the Steelers and Giants.

This signing comes as good news for the Jets after losing out on cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, who surprisingly signed with Philadelphia.

It is clear the New York Jets intend to surpass the successes of last season and take a run at the Super Bowl this year. Be a part of the action at Meadowlands Stadium and order New York Jets tickets today.

After clearing waivers, defenseman Colin White and forward Trent Hunter were bought out yesterday by the New Jersey Devils for a $3.33 million salary-cap savings.

The buyout put an end to a 10 year career with the Devils for White. White joined the Devils late in the 1999-00 season and has only played for New Jersey throughout his entire NHL career. Often leading the team in penalty minutes, White established himself as a physical defenseman. During his tenure with New Jersey, White won two Stanley Cup Championships, one in 2000 and the other in 2003.  In 743 career regular season games White has totaled 20 goals, 105 assists, and 848 penalty minutes.

White’s agent, Ben Hankinson, is confident he will remain in the NHL. “I think there’s quite a few teams that are interested in his services,” Hankinson said. “We’re just sorting through our options right now. Colin White will be playing somewhere in the NHL this season.”

In exchange for another veteran forward, Brian Rolston and a second round draft pick next year, Trent Hunter was acquired from the New York Islanders last week.  While with the Islanders, Hunter played 459 regular season games, totaled 99 goals, 130 assists, and 201 penalty minutes.  He missed most of last season with a torn MCL.

In addition to opening up salary cap room for the Devils these buyouts will also free up space on the roster for some of their younger players, including defenseman Adam Larsson, the team’s 2011 first-round pick.

The 2011-12 season is now on sale, find New Jersey Devils tickets today at Select-A-Ticket.
