The leading lady who originally played the starring role in Mary Poppins has returned to grace the Broadway stage with her theatrical presence once again. Last Tuesday the Olivier Award winner, Laura Michelle Kelly, rejoined the cast of Mary Poppins at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

It seems as though the NFL’s four-month lockout will be coming to an end very quickly. Although the deal has not officially been done, the owners and players of the NFL are moving towards ending the lockout any day now.

On Tuesday a settlement draft was finalized in order to be presented to the players and owners on Wednesday. The legal teams worked diligently in order for the document to be able to be under review, and possibly approved. The deal will first be presented to a group of 13 men called the NFL Players Association executive committee, as well as the NFL labor committee and its 10 man backing.

The goal of Wednesday’s review is ultimately for the group to seek a deal approval from the NFL players. The agreement set forth would need a majority vote from close to 2,000 players in the National Football League.

Will the current deal in the works be sufficient enough to end the four month NFL lockout?

If so, the New York Giants will play their first preseason game  against the Carolina Panthers on August 13, 2011 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.

On Saturday, August 6, 2011 the Wells Fargo Center will present UFC 133. This will be the first time in two years that UFC will be returning to Philadelphia.

The fight card’s main event will feature former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans against former Penn State wrestler Phil Davis. Evans has a current MMA record of 15-1-1, and the rising UFC powerhouse Davis is packing a 9-0 MMA record. It is expected that the winner of this epic fight will get the chance to fight Jon Jones as soon as his health returns for that shot at the title.

Davis is a Pennsylvania native, originally from Harrisburg, PA, and has expressed his enthusiasm for being “back in Pennsylvania for the biggest fight” of his life. He admitted that,  ”It’s going to be good to be able to fight in front of all my family and friends.” He also said that ”Rashad Evans is the most dangerous opponent I’ve ever faced, but I don’t think for a minute that I’m outmatched. I’m going to take care of this fight and do whatever I have to do to beat Rashad.”

The UFC 133 fight card also consists of more intriguing fights between fierce competitors. Rich Franklin vs Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Vitor Belfort vs Yoshihiro Akiyama are just some of the match ups to be featured, and more are expected to be announced within the next few weeks.
