New Jersey Nets Lose to the Boston Celtics

The New Jersey Nets suffered a horrible loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night in their own gym. The Nets now have an embarrassing 3-35 record for the 2009-2010 season.

The Boston Celtics were short handed and played without 2 of their best players because Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace were both injured. However, after just six minutes into the game the celtics had a double digit lead. The Nets were 16 points behind the Celtics after the first quarter.

The Celtics took an easy 30-point lead to make the score 57-27 in the second quarter. As the Nets went into the halftime break trailing by 36, something unusual happened in the locker room. Devin Harris took halftime as an opportunity to announce his frustrations with the team.

In the second half of Wednesday’s game, the New Jersey Nets outscored the Boston Celtics by 12, and it seemed as though Harris got his teammates’ attention. But that wasn’t the case. The New Jersey Nets were unable to make a comeback and lost 111-87 to the Celtics.

The New Jersey Nets will play their next game on January 15 against the Indiana Pacers.
