New York Knicks Beat Atlanta Hawks 114-107

The New York Knicks improved their record to 5-15 after a win on Friday night against the Atlanta Hawks. The score was 114-107 when the Knicks balled their way to victory at Philips Arena in Atlanta. This was the Hawk’s second loss in 10 home games.

The Knicks used a combination of drives to the basket and 3-pointers to lead their way to the win. New York had 9 3-pointers in the first half. They made a total of 11 out of 25 3-point attempts throughout the entire game, while the Atlanta only made 4 out of 23. Knicks’ players Al Harrington and Chris Duhon made 4 3-pointers a piece.

All together, guard Chris Duhon made 25 points and 10 assists. Forward Al Harrington scored 23 of the Knicks first 46 points, and had 27 points all together. David Lee added 18 points and 17 rebounds, Larry Hughes added 16 points, and Ton Douglas added 6 points to Duhon and Harrington’s baskets.

At the end of the first period, the Knicks had the lead 35-34. Early in the third quarter, the Knicks lost their 15-point lead. Atlanta went into the final period with an 84-83 lead. With a little over 2 minutes remaining, Chris Duhon helped the Knicks to a 106-96 lead.

The New York Knicks will play their next game on Sunday, December 6 in the afternoon against the New Jersey Nets.
