2009 Tony Award Winner for Best Play, God of Carnage

God of Carnage tells the story of two married couples in present-day New York City. The couples are Michael and Veronica, and Alan and Annete. They meet for the first time after their children had a nasty fight at school. Michael and Veronica invite Alan and Annette over to have a civilized discussion regarding whose child is responsible for the fight, but this quickly becomes uncivilized!

The current cast for this show includes Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini, and Marcia Gay Harden. This cast is scheduled to appear through November 14, and the cast beginning November has yet to be determined.

The Broadway production of God of Carnage began previews at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on February 28, 2009. It officially opened on March 22, 2009 and was scheduled for a limited time, set to close on July 19,2009. Because of the success of the play, the run has been extended until February 28, 2010.

This very funny show runs 90 minutes long without an intermission. It includes all types of comedy, action, and it even has its serious moments.
