It’s only May, but the Mets have already had their share of ups and downs this season. And next up will be, potentially, one of their most challenging series of the young year.

Traveling to Fenway Park to take on the Boston Red Sox is never an easy task, and for a young team, like the Mets it could be even more challenging to play in the most historic park in the entire league. Combine that with the Mets roller coaster of a season and its and understandably difficult weekend for the Mets.

One helpful item is that Mets skipper has stated that Daniel Murphy is now his guy on first base, leaving left field open for a more experienced outfielder – something that will make coping with the intimidating Green Monster just a little easier to deal with.

If you’re in Boston, this is bound to be a great series – so grab some Mets tickets and enjoy yourself.
