NFC Round One Results
The NFC may not always have the best teams in the NFL, but they certainly have most of the larger markets, which means that the NFC playoffs are among the most watched post season sporting events each year. This year will be no different.
The Wilcard round of the NFC playoffs pitted four large market teams against each other for the right to take on the New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers in the Divisional round.
The first matchup saw the turn-around Atlanta Falcons attempt to unseat the NFC West winning Arizona Cardinals. The story of the game was the two MVP candidates, 23 year old Rookie Matt Ryan and 37 year old veteran Kurt Warner who have each lead their teams to improbable seasons. Arizona won the matchup in a close 30-24 ballgame.
The other NFC contest saw the NFC North winners, Minnesota Vikings play host to the tough and talented Philadelphia Eagles. Despite home field advantage, the Vikings couldn’t hold off the Eagles as Donovan and Co got it done.
Next up: Philadelphia at New York and Arizona at Carolina. Stay Tuned!
