My NFL First Round Picks
First of all, I don’t profess to be an expert by any stretch. I’m not even a huge fan – by some people’s standards – of the NFL. But, I thought it would be fun to lay out my play off predictions for the opening round of the playoffs.
So, here I go.
In the AFC:
I think that all the hubbub about San Diego is going to be motivation enough for them to win at home against the Colts. In all honesty, I think that Indy is the better team, but the trip to the west coast won’t treat them well, as the Chargers have something to prove.
San Diego 24 Indianapolis 21
The Baltimore Ravens will have revenge on their minds when they face the Miami Dolphins. It was only a year ago that the lackluster Dolphins had their only win of the season in week 16 against the Ravens. Miami has had a great year, but the Ravens will win.
Baltimore 28 Miami 17
In the NFC:
In a matchup of two polar opposite MVP candidate QBs, the veteran will win. Much like the Dolphins, the Falcons have had a great year but it just won’t be enough.
Arizona 35 Atlanta 21
Philadelphia may be the best team in the NFL at this moment. Minnesota will give them fits in the cold, cold weather in Minneapolis, but in the end the shear talent of the Philadelphia Eagles will prevail, as Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook break them down….eventually.
Philadelphia 31 Minnesota 28
That’s it. Right or wrong – who cares. It’s fun to make picks!
