Giants, Eagles Fight it Out in Philly

Sunday, November 9th, 2008

In one of the best games of the NFL season so far, the New York Football Giants were able to hold off the Eagles on their way to a 36-31 victory. In a battle for NFC supremacy, the Eli Manning and the Giants were able to turn back the Eagles on Sunday as both teams produced phenomenal games by Donovan McNabb and Brandon Jacobs.

It was a “too little too late” scenario in the fourth quarter as the Eagles were unable complete a fourth quarter comeback, losing 36-31. Donovan McNabb did his part with near over 225 total yards, and three touchdowns. For the Giants, Brandon Jacobs continued to dominate as he put up 126 yards with two touchdowns in the win.

With the win, the Giants gained in the NFC East and continue to be the hands down favorites to win not only the division, but also to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl one again. If you’re in the area, you have a great opportunity to pick up some New York Giants tickets and watch the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Eagles Face Huge Test Against Giants

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Donovan McNabb has been a pleasant surprise this year, so far, as have the entire Philadelphia Eagles team. Unfortunately, they play in the toughest division in the NFC. In addition to their opponent this week, the New York Giants, the Eagles also have to fight the tough Washington Redskins in order to get over the hurdle known as the NFC East.

This Sunday’s contest is a great opportunity for Philadelphia to make a run at the top of the division as the 5-3 Eagles face the 7-1 Giants with (perhaps) the Eagle’s mid-season playoff hopes on the line. Both teams are riding a three-game winning streak going into the weekend for what should be a dog fight.

If you are in the Philadelphia area this weekend, this may be a great opportunity for you to enjoy a mid-season NFL game with a whole lot on the line. Grab some Philadelphia Eagles tickets now and be a part of the NFC East division’s “separation Sunday”.

Buffalo – New England Meet as AFC Guard Changes

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

The Buffalo Bills came into the 2008 season with more-or-less the opposite expectations as the New England Patriots. New England came into the season with huge expectations after one of the best seasons in history that ended abruptly in the Super Bowl. It’s pretty safe to say that nearly everyone expected a repeat performance by the Pats this year.

Buffalo, on the other hand had a very mediocre year last year and entered the season with low expectations and weren’t really expected to make too much noise in the AFC, both because of New England, and Indianapolis as well.

However, expectations have been checked at the door as Buffalo has separated itself as one of the best teams in the AFC, while New England has struggled to stay afloat. New England leads the AFC East, while the Patriots are very disappointingly in 3rd place. Sunday’s game is a huge opportunity for the Bills to announce their AFC East presence and take over for the ailing Patriots.

Giants Roll to Victory over Dallas

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

I’m a firm believer in a super bowl champion being the favorite until they are unseated by another team. Going in to this year, the New York Giants (as the super bowl champions) were undoubtedly the favorites in the NFC to make it back to the super bowl. If there was one other team with a legitimate shot at unseating them, it was the Dallas Cowboys.

Going into the season, the rabid Dallas fans felt like that had something to be hopeful for, with Tony Romo looking sharp, their defense was promising, and they had perhaps the best receiving corps in the league with T.O., Patrick Crayton, and Jason Whitten leading the way.

However, the battle for supremacy last Sunday was anything but challenging for the Giants who absolutely dominated Dallas from start to finish. Eli Manning lead the way with three touchdowns, as the Cowboys struggled to stop the bleeding throughout.

Offensively, Brad Johnson just couldn’t keep up with New York’s offensive production. This seems to be a benchmark victory for the Giants as they continue to try and defend their NFL title. The season is only half way over, so go grab some New York Giants tickets and enjoy the rest of the season.
