Britney Contemplating Broadway?
Ohhh that Britney! The ‘former’ pop sensation who has since become more famous-for-being-famous (a la Paris Hilton) is back, and her path to a comeback may take her right down Broadway in NYC. According to recent reports, Britney Spears is heavily considering a spell on Broadway as she attempts to get her music career back on track.
Spears, whose sixth album is set to be released in December, has recently been seen in New York at Broadway shows, and reports say that she is researching in order to find the “perfect part” to make her stage debut.
Furthermore, many believe that she may be contemplating a move to New York City. A source told MSNBC however, “Britney always toys with the idea of going to New York. Obviously there’s no chance that is happening unless Kevin moves, too.”
Spears has always had the “itch” for acting, as she has made numerous television and film cameos, as well as starring in her own film in 2002, Crossroads. Additionally, she is no stranger to performing in front of crowds, though acting in Broadway and singing pop hits to teenagers, are certainly two very different things.
It remains to be seen whether Britney will make the move, to Broadway, but if she does, you can be sure that Broadway tickets for the event will be a hot, hot item.
