Katie Holmes is a Hit
For those who thought that Katie Holmes’ television and film stardom wouldn’t translate well to the Broadway stage, think again. Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, starring Holmes is the biggest success this season according to the latest box office receipts from week one of the Fall Broadway season.
EOnline reports that the revival performance of Miller’s play, which is based on the true story of a woman who informed on her father for selling faulty parts to the U.S. Military during World War II, raked in $684,002.
Another highly touted play, Equus, starring Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe is also performing well, bringing in $597,346 during week one. Katie can’t take all the credit, perhaps, for the success of All My Sons, as the show also stars veteran actors in Tony Award winner, John Lithgow and Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest.
Nevertheless, as the star of the show, Katie Holmes is entitled to her due for being part of Broadway’s top draw so far this year. Grab some tickets today for All My Sons, Equus, or any other Broadway tickets online and be a part of the show yourself.
