Coming off of a disappointing summer season, Broadway is looking to rebound this fall with an exciting schedule of new and old shows that are bound to keep fans buying Broadway tickets online in order to be a part of a great Broadway season.

More than 20 years after the 80′s success of Cats, Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables – three shows that came over from Europe – another show is opening this year that has all of Broadway excited and interested. Billy Elliot, which has been a huge success overseas, and is already creating quite a buzz – particularly at the box office, is set to open on November 13 at the Imperial Theatre.

Another show that could give Billy Elliot some competition (in name recognition, at least) is Shrek the Musical. The Dreamworks stage adaptation of the popular animated films will debut at the Broadway Theatre on December 14.

There are many great revivals on Broadway this year, as well as some exciting new shows. If you are looking for something fresh and new and exciting, check out Billy Elliot or Shrek the Musical when the open later this fall.
