So many of the young stars from American Idol have made a name for themselves in the music industry since the show’s inception. Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry, and Carrie Underwood have all become huge successes through album releases, touring, etc., bringing home CMAs, Grammys, and numerous other awards for their hard work and talent.

Another popular stop for American Idol stars has been Broadway. Clay Aiken has appeared in the Monty Python musical Spamalot, while Season three winner Fantasia has starred in Oprah Winfrey’s production of A Color Purple. Other Idol-to-Broadway stars include, Diana DeGarmo, Josh Strickland, Amy Adams, Jennifer Hudson, and Tamyra Gray.

We can now add another to the list, as Ace Young the ultra-popular crooner from season five who won over audiences (females in particular) with his good looks and talented singing voice. Young has just been added to this fall’s cast of Grease where he will portray Kenickie.

Broadway tickets are available now for Grease at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Young is scheduled to begin his run on September ninth, so snatch up those tickets quickly and see one of American Idol’s brightest stars shine on Broadway
