Here at SelectATicket we sell a lot of NY Yankee tickets. It’s one of our top selling sports tickets, and this year will be no different. In fact, it should be better for one reason. What makes this year especially unique is that it’s the last time fans can see the Yankees play in the famous and historic Yankee stadium. The stadium is being torn down and a new Yankee stadium is being built nearby.

Talk about nostalgia. There are so many memories at the stadium, so many famous games played were played there. The Yankee Stadium in New York city (the Bronx to be specific) has been host to NY Yankees home games since the year 1923. It can hold 57,545 fans. Not only for baseball, Yankee stadium has been the home of the New York Giants football team, and once hosted dozens of boxing’s most famous fights.

There have been more World Series championships there than anywhere. The stadium is affectionately nicknamed, “The House that Ruth Built”, because superstar Babe Ruth had a winning history there.
